Yes, drumming has the power to help physical rehabilitation, and provides mental health benenfits too. Drumming has the unique ability to calm you, de-stress you, and can take your mind into a meditative, even trance-like state.

So who can benefit from drumming therapy?

Do you have a heartbeat? Can you hit a drum? Great news! You can be a drummer.

At Drumcall, we work with children and adults with challenging behaviour, and additional needs from physical or mental conditions. People who usually find new things demanding are normally able to to listen, play and focus at our workshops.

We've used drumming to help with the rehabilitation of people who have suffered a stroke. The driving repetition of our authentic African rhythms can help develop strength, concentration and coordination.

We all know music has the potential to reach people in powerful, even profound ways. And playing in groups gives people a sense of community, belonging and support and let's face it, in today's fast-moving world, that's something we could all appreciate.

If you'd like to join a Drumcall workshop, or have us organise one for you, call the team on 07880 728865.
